Session:Session 54-Remote Sensing of Coastal Zone and Sustainable Development

Abstract
Since the launch of China's first ocean color satellite (i.e. HY-1A satellite) in 2002, China has launched five ocean color satellites, all of which are equipped with Coastal Zoon Imager (CZI). The CZIs on the China’s Ocean Color Satellites have been playing an important role in monitoring marine ecological disasters and coastal environment in China. In this presentation, the development of the CZIs and their data products, the technologies used and the status of the typical applications of marine green tide and red tide remote sensing monitoring by using CZI data will be introduced. The long-term CZI observation data will provide useful information for sustainable development of coastal zones.
